Despite dreams of having the fast train ready for operation by 2020, at this point in time we can only recommend to take the ALVIA TRAIN (from Madrid-Chamartin Train Station to Burgos-Rosa de Lima Train Station) as it is the only one that comes directly to Burgos from Madrid. Please check timetibles and prices at: http://www.renfe.es.
The Burgos-Rosa de Lima Train Station is located in the northern end of the City, on Avenida Príncipe de Asturias, 5 km (approx. 3 miles) from the City Center.
Once at the train station, you can get to the city by bus or by taxi.
Three bus lines connect the train station with the City Center. There is a stop at the main entrance of the train station and tickets can be purchased directly on the bus. Ticket price: 1,20€.
Burgos only has 2 Taxi Companies. To request a service it is always best to phone directly. Depending on the time of day, a taxi may take 10-15 min to arrive to your point of pick-up.
