German Luminescence and ESR meeting

The annual German Luminescence and Electron Spin Resonance dating (DLED) meeting allows luminescence and ESR dating experts from Central Europe to meet in order to present their latest research findings and to network. The meeting is usually held in Germany or one of its surrounding countries. DLED was last hosted by the MPI in Leipzig in 2008 and with the closing down of the Department of Human Evolution in 2021 this was the final opportunity to host the meeting in Colditz. However, the pandemic caused by Covid-19 has led to the next DLED020 being held again in Leipzig.

The meeting will be held at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig (Germany).

There is no conference fee as the cost of the meeting will be covered by the Department of Human Evolution

Accomodation is not included and attendeees will need to make their own arrangements

The meeting is capped at 50 participants to ensure adherence to the social distancing policy of the MPG

Opens: 15 July 2020
Closes: 31 October 2020

The meeting will begin at 14:00 on Friday 27 November 2020 and end at 12:00 on Sunday 29 November.
