Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Organizing Committee has made the difficult decision
to postpone LED2020 Burgos until next year
In light of the developing Coronavirus outbreak, with the unanimous support of the International Scientific Committee, we have made the difficult decision to postpone LED2020 Burgos until next year to ensure the safety of all Delegates and guarantee we are past the significant challenges and repercussions resulting from COVID-19. We understand that at this point in time there are significant challenges related to travel bans to/from high risk countries as well as growing Worldwide repercussions related to a multitude of service providers (airlines, trains, buses, hotels, etc.) that are uncertain to clear in the near future. All this besides every individual situation during these exceptional times.
We recommend that Delegates postpone booking travel and accommodation until our revised dates have been announced. We feel that by taking this proactive approach and early decision, we can maintain our highly engaged, international and diverse audience for 2021.
We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will advise on our official re-scheduled dates soon. We are aware that the 6th Asian Pacific Luminescence & ESR Dating (APLED) Conference is also scheduled for 2021 (sometime in September-October) in Turkey (Ankara University, Institute of Nuclear Sciences). At this point, we can assure delegates that both conferences would not coincide.
Please visit it in the near future for up-to-date information: https://led2020burgos.cenieh.es/
In order to avoid confusions and waiting periods of about 1 year, registration fees will be reimbursed in full to those Delegates that have already undergone the full Registration Process. Delegates that have already registered will have to go over the full Registration Process again once the new revised Dates & Deadlines are set in place.
Abstracts that have already been submitted will be disregarded for LED2020/21.
We would like to thank all Delegates, Sponsors and Supporters for their patience during these unprecedented times, where we strive to host a conference of high standards while prioritizing our delegates’ health and wellbeing.
Please stay safe and healthy wherever you are in the World by following the recommendations of your local, provincial, and national health agencies.
